About Dr. Melanie Buford
Dr. Melanie Buford (she/her) is a Harvard-trained organizational psychologist who has spent 15 years working across higher education and public service, including work with the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, University of Cincinnati, Wesleyan University, Points of Light, Year Up United, and Education Pioneers.
She has engaged more than 3,000 clients in identifying, developing, and applying their professional talents.
Melanie is an MBTI Master Practitioner and is certified in three leading personality assessments. She also has advanced training in Career Construction Interview, a qualitative approach to understanding how people make meaning of their work and career experiences.
She holds an EdM in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a PhD in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities.
Her work brings together personality science, organizational leadership, and practical experience to help leaders and organizations understand what is happening beneath the surface and determine what to do about it.
